There are a couple of solid bits, but nothing in Blood on Snow feels necessary or invigorating. The central story, of a "fixer" with a moral compass turning against his former employer, feels stale, and none of the characters pop off the page, sans the deaf salesgirl; not a great character, but an interesting enough character to outshine the rest of the ensemble. By the end of it, I really didn't care.
